Any Willing Provider

Many patients complain they have to wait a long time before they can see a physician who is contracted with their insurance company. Insurance companies refuse to contract with many physicians who would like to be on their panels. This denial hurts patients, and restricts physicians’ ability to practice independently. It seems that some insurance plans are refusing to contract with physicians in order to force them to join groups allied with the insurance providers. A simple solution is to require insurance panels offer insurance contracts paying Medicare rates to any willing provider. This will allow faster access to healthcare for Nevada’s citizens.
